Hubungan Kepatuhan Diet Dengan Kualitas Hidup Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2
Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a non-communicable disease that causes high morbidity and mortality. Therefore, diabetes mellitus requires appropriate and serious treatment and management efforts, such as diet management, physical exercise, medical therapy, health education, and regular blood glucose checks. The aim is to determine the relationship between dietary compliance and quality of life for type 2 diabetes mellitus. Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic degenerative disease with a blood sugar condition of more than 140g/dl. Quality of life is an individual's perception of life that can be viewed from the cultural context and individual value systems related to living standards. The design of this study was correlational with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study were patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Baros Public Health Center, Sukabumi City, with a sample of 106 respondents drawn by proportional random sampling. Data analysis using univariate analysis with frequency distribution and percentage of each category, bivariate analysis using somer'sd test. The results of the chi-squere study with (α = 0.05) obtained p value = 0.022, which means that there is a relationship between diet compliance and quality of life for type 2 diabetes mellitus. There is a relationship between diet compliance with the quality of life of type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Baros Public Health Center, Sukabumi City. It is hoped that the Puskesmas can provide health education, especially for patients who experience despair. In addition, nurses can also detect early nursing problems experienced by patients and can provide appropriate interventions so that they do not lead to depression due to despair
