Stunting describes a chronic state of malnutrition during the early stages of growth and development. Providing supplementary food (PMT) to malnourished toddlers is an effort to improve their nutritional status. This supplementary food is in the form of biscuits fortified with micro- and macronutrients. However, their effectiveness is hindered by their shape, taste, and a large quantity, which makes them less appealing to toddlers, leading to suboptimal consumption. Based on a recent innovation, "4-Fit cereal" was designed as an alternative PMT made from goat milk, honey, eggs, and edamame to improve the nutritional status of toddlers. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of "4-Fit cereal" in increasing the body weight of stunted toddlers compared to the provision of standard PMT.This study is a quasi-experimental design using a two-group pretest-posttest approach with a sample size of 42 stunted toddlers. The research was conducted at the Guntur Public Health Center (Puskesmas) Posyandu in Garut Regency in July 2025. Sampling was done using quota sampling. Univariate analysis of body weight before and after receiving "4-Fit cereal" and standard PMT was performed using descriptive statistics. Bivariate analysis was conducted on two variables: the independent and dependent variables. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of "4-Fit cereal."The statistical test results using an Independent Samples t-test showed a p-value of 0.032 and 0.008, with an alpha (?) value of 0.05 (p<?), indicating that the average difference in body weight between the two groups before and after the intervention was statistically significant. This means that both the "4-Fit cereal" drink and the standard supplementary food (PMT) provided at the Guntur Public Health Center Posyandu in Garut Regency were effective in increasing the body weight of stunted toddlers.
The N-Gain score calculation to determine effectiveness showed that the experimental group had a value of 0.644, categorized as moderate, while the control group had a value of 0.22, categorized as low (0.3 ? N-Gain < 0.7). This indicates that the provision of "4-Fit cereal" was more effective in increasing the body weight of stunted toddlers compared to standard PMT at the Guntur Public Health Center Posyandu in Garut Regency in 2025.
